What is the European Central Bank?
The ECB is the central bank of the Eurozone, covering 16 member states. Established in 1998 by the European Union with headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. It was modeled closely on the Bundesbank, the German reserve bank. The first President was Wim Duisenberg (PhD Economics). They use econometric models for forecasting and policy analysis.
